On 17 November 2016 UTV Ireland was taken over by the TV3 Group. The channel was rebranded in January 2017. By late 2017; Virgin Media Ireland confirmed it would rebrand its channel portfolio, however, this was delayed [17] until summer 2018. On 30 August 2018 Virgin Media Television completed its rebranding strategy.
