Eureka United Methodist Church is a historic Methodist church located on Church Street in Eureka, Wayne County, North Carolina. It was built in 1884, and is a one-story, three bays wide and four bays deep, vernacular Carpenter Gothic style church. It has steeply pitched gable front roof and bell tower with lancet windows. [2]
The Town of Eureka, NC was originally incorporated in 1879 as the Town of Saul's Cross Roads (PrL 1879-90) and the name was changed to Town of Eureka in 1901 (PrL 1901-186). [ 4 ] The Eureka United Methodist Church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
