Shore Line East (SLE) is a commuter rail service which operates along the Northeast Corridor through southern Connecticut, United States. The rail service is a fully owned subsidiary of the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) and is operated under the CT Rail brand.
CT Rail uses the following rolling stock for its commuter rail operations: All Electric Multiple Unit cars are used on the electrified Shore Line East running on Amtrak's Northeast Corridor while locomotive hauled trains with passenger coaches are used on Amtrak's non-electrified Hartford Line.
The Shore Line Railway was a part of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad system, running east from New Haven, Connecticut, to New London along the north shore of Long Island Sound. A segment is currently used for commuter service on CT Rail's Shore Line East and regional/express service on Amtrak's high-speed Northeast Corridor.

A small wooden westbound shelter, similar to other Shore Line stops east of New Haven, was added in the 1950s. [6] Most commuter service east of New Haven ceased on January 1, 1969, after the New Haven merged into Penn Central, though the Clamdigger continued operation under Penn Central and later Amtrak until January 28, 1972.
Shore Line East service at the station was suspended indefinitely on March 16, 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic. [ 10 ] [ 11 ] Service resumed on October 7, 2024. [ 12 ]
The station opened on June 7, 2002, for Shore Line East service, with Metro-North service added on June 24, 2002.
