Jean-Baptiste André Guillot (9 December 1827 – 6 September 1893), son of Jean-Baptiste Guillot, and therefore referred to as Guillot Fils, was a pioneering rose hybridizer in Lyons, France, in the later half of the 19th Century. He introduced roses from 1850 to about 1887.
Plans for the National Rose Gardens were prepared by 1932 and, through the Horticultural Society of Canberra, Rose Societies in each State were approached to contribute roses. Each garden was to have 2,000 standard and climbing roses and the beds were to have different varieties of roses arranged by colour.
