Frâncești is located in the central part of Vâlcea County, 24 km (15 mi) southwest of the county seat, Râmnicu Vâlcea. It is crossed by county road DJ646, which branches off the national road DN64 [ ro ] in the town of Băbeni , 6 km (3.7 mi) to the southeast.
This county has a total area of 5,765 km 2 (2,226 sq mi).. The North side of the county is occupied by the mountains from the Southern Carpathians group: the Făgăraș Mountains in the east with heights over 2,200 m (7,200 ft), and the Lotru Mountains in the west with heights over 2,000 m (6,600 ft).
Bujoreni is a commune located in Vâlcea County, Oltenia, Romania, just to the north of Râmnicu Vâlcea, the seat of Vâlcea County.It is composed of seven villages: Bogdănești, Bujoreni, Gura Văii, Lunca, Malu Alb, Malu Vârtop and Olteni (the commune centre).

Set at the foothills of the Southern Carpathians, the town is located at about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) from the Cozia Mountains and about 40 km (25 mi) from the Făgăraș and Lotrului Mountains. The southern limit of the city is formed by the Getic Plateau ( Romanian : Platoul Getic ) and the Olt River valley.
