Nashville is a 1975 American musical comedy drama film directed and produced by Robert Altman.The film follows various people involved in the country and gospel music industry in Nashville, Tennessee, over the five-day period leading up to a gala concert for a populist outsider running for president on the Replacement Party ticket.
Nashville received numerous awards and nominations from various critical organizations, including major institutions such as the Academy Awards, Golden Globes, and British Academy Film Awards, as well as regional critical associations. The film was nominated for a total of 11 Golden Globe nominations, to date the most ever received by one film.
On May 10, 2013, Nashville was renewed for a second season by ABC. [13] Season 2 began on September 25, 2013, at 10/9c. [ 14 ] Chris Carmack , Lennon Stella , and Maisy Stella were promoted to series regulars, while Powers Boothe and Robert Wisdom were reduced to recurring status, in the second season. [ 15 ]
