VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena [5] (originally Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena) is a multi-purpose arena located in Jacksonville, Florida.It currently serves as the home arena of the Jacksonville Icemen of the ECHL, the Jacksonville Giants of the American Basketball Association, and the Jacksonville Sharks of the Indoor Football League.
The Sharks are a professional indoor American football franchise in the National Arena League (NAL), based in Jacksonville, Florida, and plays its home games at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. The team was established in 2010 in the Arena Football League (AFL) until it left the league after the 2016 season.
The Sharks won the inaugural NAL championship game 27–21 over the Columbus Lions. In 2018, the Jacksonville Sharks went 10–7 under returning head coach Burley. The Sharks advanced to the National Arena League playoffs, but lost on the road to the Carolina Cobras 73–48. The Cobras won the 2018 championship over the Columbus Lions.
