Berryessa/North San José station [3] (also known as Berryessa station and Berryessa Transit Center [4]) is an intermodal transit center located in the Berryessa district of San Jose, California, United States. The station is served by Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) and Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) buses.
The Green Line is a Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) line in the San Francisco Bay Area that runs between Berryessa/North San José station and Daly City station. It has 22 stations in San Jose, Milpitas, Fremont, Union City, Hayward, San Leandro, Oakland, San Francisco, and Daly City. The line shares tracks with the four other primary BART services.
The services were mainly identified on maps, schedules, and station signage by the names of their termini. However, the new fleet displays line colors more prominently, and BART has begun to use color names in press releases and GTFS data. Santa Clara VTA operates numerous bus lines that operate on most major thoroughfares throughout Santa Clara County. Several of these lines converge at key transfer points, including Downtown San Jose, several Caltrain stations between Palo Alto and Gilroy, the Milpitas and Berryessa BART stations, and most light rail stations.
The Silicon Valley BART Extension, managed by the VTA, is a 6-mile extension of BART service to San Jose and Santa Clara in Santa Clara County.Phase I was completed with the opening of the Berryessa/North San José station in 2020, which is the first BART station in San Jose.
