Optus has naming rights to Perth Stadium where it is known as Optus Stadium. Between 1994 and 2005 Optus had the naming rights to the Carlton football clubs original home ground in Princes Park. It was called Optus Oval until the ground was retired by the AFL in 2005. Optus was the main sponsor of the 1997 ARL season. [citation needed]
