Geraldine Estelle Halliwell-Horner [1] [2] (née Halliwell; born 6 August 1972) is an English singer, songwriter, television personality, author, and actress. She rose to fame in the mid 1990s as a member of the pop group the Spice Girls , in which she was nicknamed Ginger Spice .
