Earlier in the day, Canadian Olympic Committee chief executive David Shoemaker told reporters in Paris that Priestman was likely aware that drones were used to spy on New Zealand’s practices. Priestman has denied the allegations. Blue also said he learned of a possible drone incident involving the men's national team at the recent Copa America.
The revelation is part of the fallout of the drone scandal. FIFA banned Priestman — who had already been sent home from France — and two of her coaches and imposed a hefty $226,000 fine on Canada Soccer.
