Dhaka Dental College and Hospital, abbreviated DDC, is the largest dental school in Bangladesh. It was the first dental school in East Pakistan and was established in August 1961. It's the only governmental dental college in Bangladesh that oversees a 200-bed hospital in Dhaka. [1] [2] [3]
The dental college students also have to do an internship training program in these dental colleges to get the practicing permission in the country. After successfully finishing the internship training in any of the dental colleges, final dental practicing license or registration certificate is awarded by Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council .

Shaheed Suhrawardy Hospital was established in 1963 as Ayub Central Hospital in Sher-e-Bangla Nagor, Dhaka, Bangladesh. [1] The hospital building was designed by architect Louis I Kahn. The Bangladeshi government decided on 5 September 2005 to turn Shaheed Suhrawardy Hospital into a medical college.
