The Provo Utah Temple will close February 24, 2024, for reconstruction and will be renamed the Provo Utah Rock Canyon Temple. This house of the Lord has served BYU students, missionaries at the Provo Utah Missionary Training Center, and local Latter-day Saints for more than 50 years.

The Provo City Center Temple will be the 16th temple built in Utah, the fourth in Utah County and the second in Provo, following the Provo Utah Temple (1972). When dedicated the Provo City Center Temple will be the 150th operating temple worldwide.
Church members can submit names to prayer rolls by visiting the information page of any temple. On the page, simply click on the prayer roll link. You may then enter the names of up to five individuals per request. Names submitted to a temple prayer roll remain on the list for two weeks.
The Church released the exterior rendering for the redesigned Provo Utah Temple on November 24, 2021. The new design and changes are similar to those of the Ogden Utah Temple, which underwent a major renovation and architectural change over a period of three and a half years.
