Local legend asserts that he was the first Methodist Episcopal preacher in what has since become the Cincinnati metropolitan area, [2] although Ohio's oldest Methodist church was formed in a preacher's house at Milford in 1797. Ohio State Route 28 passes through Mount Repose, leading northeast 4 miles (6 km) to Goshen and southwest 4 miles (6 km) to Milford.
Bantam is an unincorporated community in Clermont County, Ohio, United States. [1] It is the location of Bethel Methodist Church, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. [2] The community is located in northwest Tate Township along Old State Route 125 (Bantam Road) and South Bantam Road, 4.2 miles northwest of Bethel.
