The 20 (formerly known as the VH1 Top 20 Video Countdown) is a weekly music video countdown television show that aired on the VH1 cable television network in the United States. The long-running show was first introduced in 1994 as VH1 Top 10 Countdown, part of VH1's "Music First" re-branding effort. [1]

The show was first launched on MTV Europe in 1988 as a two-hour music countdown show titled MTV European Top 20 and presented by a selection of MTV Europe VJ's. In October 2003, the show was rebranded as MTV Euro Top 20. The show was discontinued in April 2009. During these years the show was sponsored by Braun, Coca-Cola, Memorex and Maxell.
Conversely, VH1 + Music was discontinued (like weekend's Top 20 Countdown) and replaced by reruns of 1990s–2000s sitcoms shared with Paramount's other networks. [citation needed] Since then, the channel only carries music videos in continuity between shows.
