Leroy Roosevelt "Sugarfoot" Bonner (March 14, 1943 – January 26, 2013) was a musician, vocalist, and producer.. Born in Hamilton, Ohio, about 20 miles (32 km) north of Cincinnati in 1943, Bonner grew up poor, the oldest of 14 children.
With the Ohio Players he had #1 hits "Fire" (1974) and "Love Rollercoaster" (1975) on the Billboard Hot 100. He stayed with the band through 1984. He stayed with the band through 1984. He was the last surviving member from the Ohio Untouchables line-up, and died of cancer in Houston , Texas , at age 75.
