Townsville State Government Offices is a heritage-listed office building at 12–14 Wickham Street, Townsville CBD, City of Townsville, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Andrew Baxter Leven and built from 1935 to 1937 by relief workers. It is also known as Lands Department and Townsville Public Offices.

Townsville Connection Road is a state-controlled district road (number 830), part of which is rated as a local road of regional significance (LRRS). [2] [3] It runs from the Flinders Highway in Stuart to North Townsville Road (Woolcock Street) in West End, a distance of 9.9 kilometres (6.2 mi). [14]

The Local Government Advisory Committee recommended that the Cities of Thuringowa and Townsville should be amalgamated into a new City of Townsville. [10] Though it was the source of some controversy, the merger ultimately took place, with the City of Thuringowa ceasing to exist in March 2008.
