2024-2025 LANSING YOUTH WINTER BASKETBALL REGISTRATION. The Lansing Parks & Recreation Dept. will accept registrations from Tues., Oct. 1 – Thurs., Oct. 31 for youths enrolled in grades one through six for the 2024-2025 Winter Basketball program.

Events. City events in Lansing are always well attended and enjoyed by all. The City hosts an annual Independence Days celebration with a large fireworks display, usually before the 4th of July. The display is coordinated to music and has most recently taken place at Lansing High School on 147th St.
Trash & Recycling. New residents of Lansing should contact City Hall at 800 First Terrace or complete and submit the Open New Account form to set up trash, recycling and sewer service. A $75 deposit is required but is refundable after one year as long as the account is in good standing.
