From the very beginning, DG has stood for “Do Good.”. Our philanthropy, Service for Sight, supports the five schools founded by Delta Gammas for the visually impaired and other North American organizations that promote sight preservation and conservation.

Delta Gamma was formed in 1873 with the purpose of doing good. Doing good is still at the heart of everything we stand for 150 years later, and it’s something every Delta Gamma woman defines — and lives out — in her own authentic way.
Delta Gamma members belong to a sisterhood of more than 260,000 initiated members across the globe who share the vision of “Doing Good” and are invested in each other’s success. Every member is unique and yet they all share a single bond of friendship through Delta Gamma.
All are welcome to recommend young women who embrace the values of Delta Gamma Fraternity for membership. Recommendations allow for Delta Gammas to learn more about a potential new member’s character and values prior to recruitment.
Delta Gamma exists to empower women to act with intention so that they become an unstoppable force for good. “Do Good” is what consistently resurfaced within each interview and archives visit our agency held. This motto played a major role as we refined our brand and identity for today and tomorrow.
Delta Gamma is deeply committed to supporting our sisters’ mental health. Multiple programs and services are available empower members to engage, manage and improve their mental health.
Delta Gamma has a long and storied history as a pioneer in the women’s fraternal movement. We have stood the test of time, but not by standing still. We continue to seek and find ways to live our motto to do good. One of the most recent efforts was launched in 2019, the Contextualization project.
