This is a list of the native wild mammal species recorded in Greenland. This is a list of the bird species recorded in Greenland. The avifauna of Greenland include a total of 252 species as of October 2024 according to Bird Checklists of the World. [1] Of them, 177 are rare or accidental. One species is extinct (the great auk, another probably is (the Eskimo curlew), and one has been extirpated (the house sparrow).

Scoresby Sound (Danish: Scoresby Sund, Greenlandic: Kangertittivaq) is a large fjord system of the Greenland Sea on the eastern coast of Greenland. It has a tree-like structure, with a main body approximately 110 km (68 mi) [ 2 ] long that branches into a system of fjords covering an area of about 38,000 km 2 (14,700 sq mi).
