Springing the Blues is an annual blues festival held in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. It is one of the largest and oldest blues festivals on the East Coast of the United States . [ 1 ] It was first held in 1990 and has been held yearly on the first weekend of April.
The Florida Wine Grape Growers Association (FWGGA) was established in 1923. In the 1930s, researchers at the University of Florida helped develop new hybrid grape varieties from the indigenous Muscadine to be more ecologically suitable for Florida's climate, including Blanc du Bois , Stover , Swanee , Daytona , Orlando Seedless and Miss Blanc .
The winery was named Rubicon Estate in early 2006, and held that name until 2011 when it was renamed Inglenook. Coppola's longtime winemaker was Scott McLeod, a UC Davis alumnus with winemaking background in Tuscany. [2] McLeod left the winery in 2009, and esteemed wine consultant Stephane Derenoncourt came on board shortly thereafter.
