[1] Attempts to form a unified school district on the Peninsula, which would provide an educational program for all K-12 students to attend school on the Peninsula failed to pass in 1953, 1954, and 1957.
Paradise Valley opened in 1957 at Bell Road and 40th street, which at the time was on the outskirts of Phoenix. The campus was designed by local architect Mel Ensign, and built by H. A. Kramer Construction Co. [2] The original campus consisted of an administration building, several small classroom buildings, and a small gymnasium and athletic fields located to the north of the classroom buildings.

Pinnacle High School (PHS) is a public high school located in the north valley of Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona. PHS opened in 2000, [3] and is a part of the Paradise Valley Unified School District (PVUSD). The students are called Pinnacle Pioneers and the school's mascot is Pioneer Pete.
