Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site is a 9.65-acre (3.91 ha) United States National Historic Site located 10 miles (16 km) southwest of downtown St. Louis, Missouri, within the municipality of Grantwood Village, Missouri.
In 1914, Gravois Road became the first concrete highway in Missouri, when six miles were laid from the downtown area to Grant's Farm. Gravois became known as Missouri State Highway 30 in 1922. During late 19th century, much of the area of Princeton Heights was farmland, and the area was known as "Gardenville".
The grant, from Fiskars' Project Orange Thumb, comes with $15,000 and a donation of gardening tools and is the second time Black Seeds received the project's grant.
Grant's Farm is minutes south by car. The Macklind Avenue Business District [ 2 ] runs through the center of the neighborhood on Macklind from Devonshire Avenue to Eichelberger Street. There are many new businesses and small established businesses, including popular restaurants, delis, and bakeries.
