Thuy Trang (December 14, 1973 – September 3, 2001) was a Vietnamese-born actress based in the United States. She was known for her role as Trini Kwan, the original Yellow Ranger on the original cast of the television series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Trini's signature fighting style included lightning-fast maneuvers and powerful high kicks. [4] She attempts to neutralize foes with the least amount of force. Trini is one of the intellectuals of the team, often having to translate Billy's techno talk for the other Rangers. Generally soft-spoken and polite, Trini is a calm and warm person.

Billy and Zack Taylor are forced to tell Trini's now-orphaned daughter Minh about her fate. One year later, Zack has become the guardian of Minh. They go to meet the other Rangers at Trini's grave to mark the anniversary of her death but come upon an ambush by Robo-Rita, Robo-Snizzard, and Robo-Minotaur.
