Indianapolis Foundry was a Chrysler automobile foundry located at 1100 S. Tibbs Avenue in Indianapolis, Indiana. The factory opened in 1890 as the "American Foundry Company" and was purchased in 1946 by Chrysler and operated as a subsidiary. [ 1 ]

The CFA first met on April 27, 1949. Todd Belfield of Cochran Foundry was the organization's first chairman. Membership reached a high in 1974-75 with 110 sustaining companies and 379 associate members. CFA held regular meetings which focused on educating the people working in member foundries on "how-to" of foundry operations.
As Indianapolis grew northward, it reached the Johnson farm in the early twentieth century; the aged farmer and his sons saw the city's growth as an opportunity for financial gain, and in 1905 they announced the platting of 0.25 square miles (0.65 km 2) of their property into individual lots. [2]

Fort Johnson, formerly Fort Polk, is a United States Army installation located in Vernon Parish, Louisiana, about 10 miles (15 km) east of Leesville and 30 miles (50 km) north of DeRidder in Beauregard Parish. Named after New York soldier William Henry Johnson, the post encompasses about 198,000 acres (309 sq mi).
