Elk County is a county in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.As of the 2020 United States census, the population was 30,990. [2] Its county seat is Ridgway. [3] The county was created on April 18, 1843, from parts of Jefferson, Clearfield, and McKean Counties.
It lies approximately 4 miles (6 km) south of Kane, about 1 mile (1.6 km) away from Pennsylvania Route 66. It is in the northern part of Highland Township, and its northern border is the McKean County line. As of the 2020 census the CDP population was 207. [3] [4]
