William D. Steers (August 19, 1955 – April 10, 2015) was a Paul Mellon professor and chair of the Department of Urology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. [1] [2] He was a president of the American Board of Urology (ABU) and editor of The Journal of Urology.

Tewari was the Ronald P. Lynch endowed Chair of Urologic Oncology and the hospital's director of robotic prostatectomy, treating patients with prostate, urinary bladder and other urological cancers. [4] He is the current president of the Society for Urologic Robotic Surgeons (SURS) and the Committee Chair of the Prostate Program. [5]
The American Urological Association (AUA) is a professional association in the United States for urology professionals. [1] It has its headquarters at the William P. Didusch Center for Urologic History in Maryland. AUA works with many international organizations, representing urologists from across the world.
