The Hyatt Regency Chicago is a 365-foot-tall (111 m) Hyatt hotel on East Wacker Drive in Chicago, Illinois. The hotel operates over 2,019 guest rooms in two different towers which were constructed in 1974 and 1980. The towers are connected by both an above-ground skyway and an underground concourse.
The ranch is located in central Placerita Canyon near Santa Clarita, California in the northern San Gabriel Mountains foothills. It was named for the Gold discovery by Francisco Lopez in the wild onion roots under the "Oak of the Golden Dream", in present-day Placerita Canyon State Park.
It was also used as a movie ranch (Janss Conejo Ranch) for the Hollywood film industry from the 1930s through the 1960s. [6] Various wild west movies were filmed here. Television series were also filmed here, such as Bonanza , Dodge City , Gunsmoke , The Rifleman , Flaming Star , The Big Valley and Wagon Train . [ 7 ]
Historic buildings remain in the park from the 1930s Hi Up House ranch and 1940s Hunt Ranch eras. [1] After a flood threatened developers' housing subdivision plans, the California Department of Parks and Recreation acquired 900 acres (360 ha) in the canyon. In May 2003 a park dedication ceremony was held at Wildwood Canyon. [1]
The ranch is a 3,700-acre (1,500 ha) wildlife preserve, home to over 30 different species of native and exotic wildlife, such as bison, elk and longhorn cattle. Woolaroc is also a museum with a collection of Western art and artifacts, American Indian material, and one of the largest collections of Colt firearms in the world.
