This is an Erhard Jauch P-77 movement from the early 1970's. They were sometimes used by Herschede on the smaller grandmother clocks (600 series). Erhard Jauch supplied movements for Herschede during the 1960's to early 1970's, being phased out in favor of Gebr. Jauch KG and other German suppliers.

new2clocks said: The term "grandfather clock" came about in the late 1800's after a song named " My Grandfather's Clock " became popular and that term was then used by English speakers to describe what is properly called a "tall case clock" or "long case clock" (depending on which side of the pond you live).
I have a Ridgeway Grandmother Clock. The information that I was able to see on the back side of the clock (metal plate) looks like it says UW 32/8 297121. There was a piece of paper on the clock on the back that said Serial #12162, Movement G, Model 130, and the finish is Cherry. That is all the information that I have.

The key hole to the left does not turn a bit either direction; while the key hole to the right turns loosely either direction. Any thoughts and ideas please?

Does anyone have any insight as to the proper way to do this -- I cannot get it to hang and swing properly so the clock will run. Craft Products offered similar kits and plans, one with an arch in the door was named "Cambridge." I saved the plans for this one.

The first image is from the 1967 catalog and the other two pages are from 1977. In the 1977 catalog, the clock had a suggested retail price of $569 or $639, depending on movement.
If so, some of the Junghans movements are tough to figure out. Attached is a copy of the movement. This picture is from a catalog that Junghans sent to me. The clock runs and chimes correctly on the hour. It is running a little slow. The clock is supposed to chime once on the half-hour I believe.
Jan 26, 2012. #1. Hello, I recently inherited my grandmother's grandfather clock. It is around 7 feet tall and plays Westminster chimes. The markings on the chimes are Gloria DRP and there is a J with a star around it on the bottom of the chimes. I just found out that DRP can mean Deutsches Reichs Patent and that the J can mean Junghans on this ...
