Sepang International Circuit (Malay: Litar Antarabangsa Sepang) (known as Petronas Sepang International Circuit for commercial reasons) is a motorsport race track in Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia. It is located approximately 45-kilometre (28 mi) south of Kuala Lumpur, close to Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
The 3.305 km (2.054 mi) winded through central Kuala Lumpur and was designed to showcase the city to the world via television broadcasts of the event. [2] It passed several major landmarks including the Petronas Towers, Menara KL and Suria KLCC. One of the major overtaking spots was on Jalan Ampang, one of the main roads in Kuala Lumpur. [2]

The 2015 Malaysian Grand Prix, formally titled the 2015 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix, was a Formula One motor race that was held on 29 March 2015 at the Sepang International Circuit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. [2] It was the seventeenth running of the Malaysian Grand Prix as a World Championship event.
It was a slightly cooler day than previously, a little overcast and with a possibility of rain later in the race. The track and air temperatures were in the mid thirties but the humidity was still very high for 56 laps of the Sepang circuit. At the start, pole-sitter Fisichella made a clean getaway, as did second-placed Button.
