The Union Inn, subsequently renamed the Port Gaverne Hotel, began to accommodate tourists, and ‘Headlands’ became a hotel. [ 2 ] During the Second World War , Port Gaverne hosted evacuees, and the fish cellars were converted into homes for the children, along with the clifftop Headlands Hotel.
