Kevork S. Hovnanian (1923 – September 24, 2009) was an Armenian-American businessman and home builder, who founded Hovnanian Enterprises in 1959. He remained the president and chief executive officer of Hovnanian Enterprises until his retirement in 1997. [ 1 ]
In 1964 Jirair Hovnanian split off from his brothers' company and founded his own construction business, J.S. Hovnanian & Sons, of Mount Laurel Township, New Jersey. [10] Hirair and Vahak also left the company by 1969 to found their own enterprises. [9] Hovnanian Enterprises had built and sold more than 30,000 homes and condos by 1989. [9]
The hotel was previously owned by Kevork Hovnanian and is currently owned by Edric Mason. [1] The Oyster Point Hotel (or simply "Oyster Point") opened in 1986 and was renovated in 2009. The hotel has dining and lounging amenities, both popular among tourists visiting Red Bank. The Pearl Lounge is Oyster Point's large elegant bar. [2]
