This Allina Health facility was created in 2013 by the merger of Courage Center and Sister Kenny Rehabilitation Institute. [1] The Sister Kenny Institute (which opened in 1942) and Courage Center (which started serving children in 1928) were both focused on physical rehabilitation for people with specific physical conditions, as well as advocacy and other support.
