Amanda Lepore is an American transgender model, singer, and performance artist.A former Club Kid, [1] she has appeared in advertising for numerous companies. Lepore is noted as a regular subject in photographer David LaChapelle's work, serving as his muse, as well as many other photographers, such as Terry Richardson and Ruben van Schalm. [2]
The group was popularized by James St. James, Julie Jewels, Astro Erle, Michael Tronn, DJ Keoki, Ernie Glam, and club promoter Michael Alig in the late 1980s, and, throughout the 1990s, grew to include Amanda Lepore, Waltpaper (Walt Cassidy), Christopher Comp, It Twins, Jennytalia (Jenny Dembrow), Desi Monster (Desi Santiago), Keda, Kabuki Starshine, and Richie Rich.
