Richard David Shepherd CBE FRSA FGRA (25 April 1931 – 19 September 2017) [1] was a British artist and one of the world's most outspoken conservationists. [2] He was most famous for his paintings of steam locomotives (he owned a number of them) and wildlife, although he also often painted aircraft, portraits (notably The Queen Mother) and landscapes.
As a shortlisted artist for the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year (2018) competition, Hunt's work helps raise awareness and 50% of each sale supports the fight against wildlife crime and protect endangered species. [14] Hunt regularly exhibited at the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art (NEWA).

Mart's first solo exhibition, Metamorphosis, was held at the Pool Room gallery in Nairobi in 2001.
