Robert Gregory Bourdon (born January 20, 1979) [1] [2] is an American musician, best known as a co-founding member and the former drummer of the rock band Linkin Park. [3] He remained in the band until their hiatus in 2017; when the band members began working together out of the public eye in 2019, he declined to rejoin the band and was succeeded by Colin Brittain.
The lineup for the band's first seven studio albums included lead vocalist Chester Bennington and drummer Rob Bourdon until Bennington's suicide in July 2017, which caused the band to enter an indefinite hiatus. In September 2024, Linkin Park's reformation was announced along with the addition of Armstrong and Brittain.
Dead Sara singer Emily Armstrong has joined the group as co-lead vocalist, while Colin Brittain joins the band as drummer, replacing founding member Rob Bourdon.
