Ellison's Cave is a pit cave located in Walker County, on Pigeon Mountain in the Appalachian Plateaus of Northwest Georgia. It is the 12th deepest cave in the United States and features the deepest unobstructed pit in the continental US, named Fantastic Pit. Pettyjohn Cave (also known as Wilsons Cave, Pettyjohn's Cave, Petty John's Cave, and other similar spellings) [1] is a karst cave located in Walker County, Georgia on the east side of Pigeon Mountain in the Appalachian Plateau of Northwest Georgia. It has a surveyed length of 31,490 ft and reaches a depth of 235 ft.
Cave speleothems formed in a variety of shapes. One of the prominent stalagmites reaches 7 meters in height. Water flow in the cave forms four lakes underground and finally, coming out of the cave, produces cascading Toba Waterfall of 234 m height.
