Grattan Township is a civil township of Kent County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the township population was 3,809. [3] It is part of the Grand Rapids metropolitan area and is located about 15 miles (24 km) northeast of the city of Grand Rapids.

Murray Lake is a naturally formed lake about 7 miles (11 km) away from the town of Lowell, Michigan. Murray Lake is the third largest lake in Kent County, lying in the northeast corner of the county. The lake north of 4 Mile Road is in Grattan Township. South of 4 Mile is Vergennes Township.
