Wheeling Township is one of 29 townships in Cook County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2020 census, its population was 157,487. [ 2 ] It is the northeasternmost and most populated of the six northwest Cook County townships that form the panhandle.

Wheeling is a village in Cook and Lake counties in the U.S. state of Illinois. A suburb of Chicago , it is primarily in Cook County, approximately 23 mi (37 km) northwest of downtown Chicago. Per the 2020 census , the population was 39,137. [ 4 ]

Joseph E. Merrion developed inexpensive duplex houses in Hometown after World War II, targeting former GIs and their families. Hometown incorporated in 1953, and its population peaked at over 7,000 in 1958. On April 21, 1967, an F4/F5 rated tornado tore through Hometown, devastating the area, [3] and destroying 86 homes while damaging 500 others.
As of the 2020 census [6] there were 12,600 people, 4,644 households, and 3,119 families residing in the village. The population density was 4,367.42 inhabitants per square mile (1,686.27/km 2).

Robbins is a village southwest of Chicago in Cook County, Illinois, United States.The population was 4,629 at the 2020 census. [2] It is the second oldest African American incorporated town in the north following Brooklyn, Illinois, and was home to the country’s first black-owned airport, Robbins Airport.
