Permit applications are available in our office at 19 East Peoria Street, or by downloading the Building Permit Application form and the Required Permit Information. Some building permits will also require a Public Works Right-Of-Way permit.

Overview. The first inhabitants of Paola were the Indians who established communities throughout the area. They were followed by the Spanish explorer, Francisco Vasquez de Coronado in 1541. The French Jesuit missionary explorers, Marquette and Joliet came in 1673.
Overview. Paola is organized under a Mayor-Council-Manager form of government. The City Council has four members with staggered two year terms. One City Council Member is elected from each of the city’s four Wards. The Mayor is also elected for a two year term and is elected from the city at large.
