Kaleidoscope are an English psychedelic rock band from London that originally were active between 1967 and 1970. [1] The band's songs combined the elements of psychedelia with whimsical lyrics. [ 2 ] [ 3 ] The band were also known at various times as The Sidekicks , The Key , I Luv Wight and Fairfield Parlour.
In 1997, Daltrey worked with Universal Records on the compilation album Dive into Yesterday (Fontana 534003-02), a collection of tracks from Kaleidoscope's two 1960s albums. The band re-emerged from obscurity with reissues of their albums, beginning in 1987; their "lost" double concept album , White Faced Lady (UFO BFTP 001), was released in 1991.
The album was re-released in 2011 by Sunbeam records, with all the original artwork and a 12-page inner book with new photos and recording history written by Peter Daltrey. The album was released again in 2017 on 180-gram "tangerine" orange vinyl to commemorate the album's 50th Anniversary.
