I'd thought the code was one of the many homages in the Matrix to the anime Ghost in the Shell? Journeyman 02:04, 1 June 2006 (UTC) []. Indeed. As an aside I've deleted some superfluous "citation needed"s from the area where this is discussed; in regard to the digital rain referencing Ghost in the Shell and/or Alien, all one needs to do is actually watch the movie and make a comparison.
