Lion's Head Provincial Park is a nature reserve in Ontario, Canada, located near the town of Lion's Head on Georgian Bay. The municipality was formed on January 1, 1999, when the townships of St. Edmunds, Lindsay, and Eastnor (which was named after Eastnor, Herefordshire [3]), as well as the Village of Lion's Head, were amalgamated. It is home to the Bruce Peninsula National Park, the Fathom Five National Marine Park, and the Lion's Head Provincial Park.
Nearby is Bruce Peninsula National Park and Fathom Five National Marine Park. This port village has galleries, tourist shops and a historic lighthouse. Lion's Head is located in the centre of the Bruce Peninsula on Georgian Bay. [18] The village has a public marina and sandy beach.
The park continues to exhibit dolphins and beluga whales. In the past, the park had performing marine animal shows, exhibits of marine and land animals, and amusement rides. The marine mammals included dolphins, sea lions, and beluga whales. Until 2023 the park also kept walruses and orcas. [1] The park also kept bears, deer and other land animals.
