Issue So I've been having a strange issue lately - my own skin appears as Steve for myself (despite namemc, minecraft.net, and other websites showing my actual skin) and I think others see my proper skin. I also see a lot of other people as steves/alexes when they have different skins.
The first version of Minecraft I ever played was Playstation 3, which had many different Skin Packs instead of a custom skin maker. Most of the packs require payment to use, but give some characters to use for free. Out of those, Orange Knight was one that was free. When I got Java Edition, I decided to re-make that skin.

Nooby means newbie, which means you are new to the game, and if you are new to the game you usually have a steve / alex skin. Therefore, thats why people think steve skins are noobs.
Probably download 5zig. This will help. Everytime all skins become Steves and Alexes, remember that every bug has several problems. The general and most common cause is this: Mojang's authentication systems are down. This means that skins cannot properly load on your client.

Try running minecraft for a couple minutes on an unmodded on default launcher; try playing a few minutes of single-player to allow a refresh. Other stuff to do just because; could help, but probably not. See if your java is outdated (if it is, be sure to update it) Check your drivers and update them if necessary; That is all I can really think of.
