The Footprint Center (formerly America West Arena, US Airways Center, [10] Talking Stick Resort Arena and Phoenix Suns Arena) is a multi-purpose arena in Phoenix, Arizona. It opened under the name America West Arena on June 6, 1992, at a cost of $89 million.
Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre [1] (originally known as the Desert Sky Pavilion and most recently known as Ak-Chin Pavilion) [2] is an amphitheater located in Phoenix, Arizona, which seats 8,106 under a pavilion roof and an additional 12,000 on a hillside behind the main stands. [3]
Prior to opening as Talking Stick Resort, the land was the location of Casino Arizona 101 & Talking Stick Way. It opened in 1999 with 332 slot machines and 45 table games. In 2003 the property was expanded to include blackjack, poker, keno and a sports bar. In September 2006, ground was broken at the future site of Talking Stick Resort.
