The E. H. Dewey Stores in Nampa, Idaho, is the remnant of an L-shape building that once surrounded the Farmers and Merchants Bank at the corner of 11th Avenue and 1st Street. The L-shape was designed to contain two stores in each wing.
The Nampa Department Store in Nampa, Idaho, is a 2-story, brick and stone commercial building designed by Tourtellotte and Hummel and completed in 1910. A 3-story building for the site had been ordered by Falk Mercantile Company, but when the site was developed, Leo Falk along with investor E.H. Dewey scaled back the design and opened the Nampa Department Store, built by contractor G.H. Rush.
It includes part or all of the 1200 and 1300 blocks of S. 1st St. in Nampa, and it includes work by architects Tourtellotte & Hummel. [1] Tourtellotte & Hummel designed the one-story Nampa Department Store (1919) in the 1300 block, also the two-story Nampa Department Store at 1307 First Street South (1910).

In 1922 the Nampa Post Office rented facilities at the First National Bank, [4] and a permanent post office was constructed next to the bank in 1930 by Boise contractor J.O. Jordan & Sons. [5] The building was completed June 21, 1931. [6] An arsonist caused fire damage to the building in 1973. [7]
In January 2008, Sports Authority announced it would close its old Nampa location near Karcher Mall and construct a new 35,000 sq ft (3,300 m 2) store in the shopping center.
