Thomas Flanagan (born 3 July 1965) is a Scottish actor. He is best known for his role as Filip "Chibs" Telford in the FX crime drama television series Sons of Anarchy (2008–2014) and its spin-off Mayans M.C. (2019), Cicero in Gladiator (2000), Morrison in Braveheart (1995), Tullk in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), and Williamson in All About the Benjamins (2002).
Flanagan was born in Conant Gardens, Detroit, Michigan, on March 16, 1930. [1] [2] He was the youngest of six children – five boys and a girl. [1] His parents were both originally from Georgia. [3] His father, Johnson Sr, [4] was a postman, and his mother, Ida Mae, [3] worked in the garment industry. [1]
He was Gemma's first husband, and they had two children together, Jax and Thomas. Thomas "Tommy" Teller (January 8, 1984 [23] – April 4, 1990), died from a congenital heart defect at six years of age. He also fathered an illegitimate daughter, Trinity, with Maureen Ashby during an extended sojourn in Belfast.
