Maria Lea Carmen Imutan Salonga, OL (/ ˈ l eɪ ə s ə ˈ l ɒ ŋ ɡ ə / LAY-ə sa-LONG-ə; born February 22, 1971) is a Filipino singer and actress.Known primarily for her work in theatre, she has starred in musicals on Broadway and in the West End.

In 1992, Salonga finished her run in Miss Saigon to provide the singing voice for Princess Jasmine in Disney's Aladdin. In 1993, Salonga returned to the Broadway stage as Éponine in Les Misérables. [8]
