We would love to use the new rules screening however adding this role immediately skips the rule screening. There is a new property in the api called pending where the Api can tell if the user has accepted these rules. I was wondering if there was any bot which used this to add roles after they accepted the rules screening.
In the settings of each channel you can choose what roles can see what servers, turn it off for @everyone and on for @X (and any other roles you want to see the channel). Then find which bot you want to use, personally I use Reaction Roles but there are others that can do it too. Now follow the steps of your chosen bot to set up the reaction role.
If you're talking about for example a member role, like you would do with a bot and reaction roles, that give access to the server, I'm pretty sure you can make the role as a default, as using the DM & Spam protection rules screening will make sure that people have to accept the rules before proceeding onto the server.

Plus, if the bot is being added to a public server, chances are the server members do not consent to the bot accessing their messages. This means only the server owner would’ve given consent, not the members themselves. TLDR: it is against the TOS to use the data in any way without every single member’s consent.
Can anyone recommend a bot or addon that makes them answer questions before letting them enter the server? I've seen a similar feature on a few servers where you're forced to read the rules and agree to them before you can see the rest of the server but I don't know what it is...

I have two issues: 1) I can't figure out how to force new members into this channel and not into my #general channel (I want them to read rules before being able to join us - they can read #general but shouldn't be able to write without accepting rules) and 2) This Rules Bot allows people to accept or decline using two buttons: a check or an x ...
I'm planning a Discord bot (written in Python), and am a little bewildered by the options for hosting. This is my first bot, and my first time using any sort of cloud computing service. This bot has several requirements. Amongst others, it must: be available 24/7/365, respond to users' messages and reactions
