It has smooth whitish bark, lance-shaped adult leaves, flower buds in groups of three or seven, creamy white flowers and barrel-shaped or urn-shaped fruit.
Guth was born in Arnhem, Netherlands, and studied at the Arnhem Academy of Art and Design from 1938 to 1942, then moved to Amsterdam to work as an artist. [1] Guth became part of the Resistance during World War II and he used his skills as a draughtsman to remove the yellow stars from the identity papers of Dutch Jews.
